Author’s Etymology Note

On the name “NCADOR”
NCADOR is a pen name derived from the Greek phrase
ἐν χάριτι δὲ δωρεάν (en chariti de dōrean).
ἐν (en) — in, within
χάριτι (chariti) — grace (dative of χάρις)
δὲ (de) — but / yet / a gentle turn in thought
δωρεάν (dōrean) — freely, without cost
Taken together, the phrase may be rendered as:
“In grace — yet freely.” or “Within grace, and still without cost.”
The conjunction δέ does not introduce opposition in a strict sense,
but marks a pause or turn in rhythm—a subtle reminder that grace, though encompassing all, remains unearned and unpurchased.
The name NCADOR echoes this structure:
en (ἐν), cha/ca (χάρις), and dor (δωρεάν),
not as a literal contraction, but as a phonetic and conceptual resonance.
t signifies a posture rather than a claim:
that what is written proceeds within grace, and is therefore offered freely.
